Correlation Singularities

The evolution and the annihilation of correlation singularities was discussed in this paper in detail. The animation below consists of two equal phase surface for the cross-correlation function described in the article. The parameter that is being changed, is the correlation length of the y-polarised laser.

This animation was produced from 29 simulation results stitched together as a single GIF image. This shows the evolution and annihilation of correlation singularities on two equal phase surfaces. Although such an animation does not provide information anymore that what is on the article, it provides a graphic and visual understanding of the concept. Especially useful in presentations and online papers, where not all surfaces can be shown and described.
